LOOK WHAT I MADE.... AND CATCHING UP.

I just had to post this picture of one of my beautiful children. Although they are all gorgeous human beings inside and out, only one of them gets their picture taken by a professional on a regular basis. She emailed me this one the other day. And although I wish she'd wear a one piece bathing suit, a cover up, and a large wool coat!! I gotta say the kid works dang hard to look this good! Well and then there was that little gift of DNA from her mommy....I CAN BAKE ME SOME PRETTY BABIES!

I've been neglecting some of the tags that I've received. I get so far behind sometimes....I think we all should get paid to blog so we can quit our jobs! Maybe we can form a Union! Anyway some of these came along with the awards below...and some of them were just tags.

The first one was from Kyley over at Crazy Kyley....if you haven't met her yet....you HAVE to go over to her blog. I'm pretty sure there isn't a sweeter, funnier, more generous woman on the planet. She makes me laugh and cry and just feel all fuzzy!

She tagged me with the following questions:

What were you doing 10 years ago? I was living in Utah...designing kitchens for an amazing company.....a single mom raising my kids....and thinking about moving to Massachusetts and marrying my precious Steve.

What is on your todo list? Get my hair done...it's been too long and the gray is showing!!!.....finish the Christmas craft projects I was dopey enough to think I could actually do.......and clean the haystack and mud bog off my family room floor...courtesy of my dogs and my backyard redo!

Favorite snack? Chocolate, chocolate...and when I'm feeling adventurous...chocolate!
If you were a millionaire what would you do? Buy a house on the beach and never work another day, put some away for my kids so they can buy houses when they're ready, Get a new truck for me me me! And take a much yearned for trip to Europe with my sweetie.

I'm also supposed to tell 5 things I want to do:

See Europe

Be a grandma when the time is finally right

Quit my job so I can blog all day

Retire someday soon with my hubby so we can spend some quality time enjoying each other.

And see my UTAH JAZZ finally win a CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!

French Fancy who has this wonderful blog...It's a fun variety of stories and weird information and I come away feeling smarter than when I arrived. And also Sandie from Quirky musings of a loony mama who is funny funny and more funny! (prepare to spitlaugh when you visit) both tagged me with "6 random things" You get to decide if you think these are true or false.

I was a jock in school...volleyball, basketball, track (which I sucked at), gymnastics and baseball. I wasn't that great at any of them....but I was from a small school and there wasn't much to pick from.

I had the pleasure of seeing "Phantom of the Opera" on Broadway in New York. It was one of the highlights of my life.

I've done design work for Mitt Romney, Jerry Seinfeld, and several people who are on the "Forbes richest men in America" list.

I've had dinner sitting between a brain surgeon and a billionaire. And I vacationed with the man (and his wife) who owned "Oscar Mayer".

I single handedly keep Coca Cola in business...I even drink coke for breakfast.

I had all three of my kids by natural child birth....no painkillers at all. The longest labor was 27 hours...the shortest 6 hours.

And now that i've put you all to sleep....some very much appreciated awards.

Bridget at My Silly Blog Gave me this beauty. I've known Bridget from way back in the RMS days. Her blog is really great....her comments to me and to other people always crack me up...the woman is a nut!...and she is this AMAZING artist. You should see the beautiful things she paints. Go visit her if for no other reason that to oogle her art!
Tam over at Yakiddy yak yak was nice enough to give me this festive award. I've only been visiting Tam's blog for a little while. But I got hooked really fast. You will too I'm sure...so go see her! I know you got lots of spare time on your hands!

This fancy pink number was generously bestowed by Heather from Nobody but yourself. Heather has some really insightful posts and I always learn something new when I visit her....and she can write posts faster than any lady I know. I don't know how she does it!

And lastly.....this wonderful award (I like it cuz it looks like I could shop with it!) Comes from Ally who's bloggy place is called Mommy Love. She always posts the cutest dang pictures! And she is a great mommy!

Thanks ladies....I really appreciate the bloggy love!

nikki, that is one blog entry that is so full of information - where do I start.

Well, first I will start with a compliment about your beautiful daughter - she is stunning and I bet everywhere she goes men just drool. Lucky girl.

It can't always have been easy as a single mum and I'm glad you met and fell in love with Steve and then married him. It's funny how the right people, the perfect people cross our paths sometimes.

With dogs in the house I think the days of a perfect home are a distant memory. I'd rather have the love from dogs than an interior out of Homes and Gardens.

Having a house on the beach is one of my fantasies and when I see a film where the star is sitting on his or her deck with the waves bashing away literally within touching distance, I get very envious. But, if truth be told, I love our house so much with our forest views that I could only have a beach house as a second home (yes, right, like that's going to happen - but who knows).

Quitting jobs - yes, this is something i did when we moved from the UK to France. It's lovely not having to work but if I didn't have my Open University study to do I think I would drift a bit and probably sit eating chocolate all day (another thing we both like to do)

Aren't I going on here - thank you for the nice things you said about my blog and you are now also in my list of favourite blogs because your blog is simply beautiful.

Wow Your daughter is gorgeous!!

You must be a great designer! A celebrity among us. Congratulations!!

I too had 3 children naturally. I was actually complete with my first one when I got to the hospital and had to wait for the doctor. Not that they were painless because they weren't. I just hate needles more than I hate pain!

Loved your post.

Morning Nikki, Your daughter is indeed beautiful. Isn't it wonderful to keep the pictures going and sending them to you. I would love to have pictures of all my children on a regular basis. She should be proud of her hard work to stay in a great shape. It is darn hard work.

Love your meme's and awards. Can't think of any blogger who deserves it more. I think your true false comments are mostly true. I hope you tell us tomorrow.

You do bake them well. And without painkillers no less. I'm impressed. I want pain pills everytime I get a cramp.

Those were fun to read about you. My hubby has got to hob-knob with some celebrities too, while I stayed at home barefoot and prego.

Sign my up for the union when you getting it going!!! Your daughter is absolutely stunning. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I could exercise 24/7 and never have a body like that! Maybe someday they'll come up with leg lengtheners so I can have long lean thighs instead of short stubby ones!! I know she works hard at this and she deserves the career success she's had. Congrats on all the awards. Now I have to run off and try to work. Nicholas was in the hospital last night and we may have to make another trip up today. He's really sick but since he doesn't have insurance they won't do much for him. It breaks my heart.

Hey, you and my hubby have things in common. He and Mitt were together in Paris, France on their missions and he is an architect:) I bet the kitchens are fabulous you design.
I agree with you, It is DANG TIME FOR THE JAZZ TO WIN THAT CHAMPIONSHIP RING! You really could quit your fabulous job and start doing advertizing on your blog. There is some good money to be made for really good bloggers and that has YOUR name all over it!

Heather said...

Wow, she is quite stunning!! You should be proud!

My kiddo is pretty dang adorable, but I can take no credit. Her birthmother looks like a cross between Catherine Zeta-Jones and Valerie Bertinelli (back in her younger days) and thankfully, Kiddo got THOSE genes instead of my Roz from Monsters Inc set. :D

Thanks for the shout-out! I post so fast because I type really, really fast - my record was 126WPM. I type way faster than I write by hand, that's for dang sure!

Happy Monday!

Mitt Romey, Jerry Seinfeld, and the Oscar Meyer man! That is some list of acquantances! I will never try to brag about any of my connections. But, I just love Mitt!

Your daughter is beautiul! Imagine looking like that in a two piece? Fortunately I always used the modesty thing as my excuse, but people could probably guess I would look horrible in one!

You love coke-I love diet coke. There will be an uproar if the church ever comes out and says no more of that. It is my greatest vice-well, I am missing my normal intake, because I cut back big time since I got prego! My dr said one a day-and not even one big one-one can is what I am down to. Ok, your daughter is smokin' hot. And I can say that in a totally non-pervy way because of the obvious :)

Second, given that a very reputable economic advisor reported that the value of my company's stock should be ZERO, and the government bailout of the auto industry has yet to happen, I clearly may need a new source of income sooner rather than later. I'm all about getting paid for blogging!!!!

I'm with ya on the chocolate. YUM!

And YOU MUST SEE EUROPE!!!! I lived in Germany for a year. I traveled as much as I could during my time there and it really is beyond fabulous. Pictures don't do the sights justice, and you really need to be immersed in the culture to get the true effect.

Have a great night!

I'm totally with you on the Coke. When the hubby and I were looking at our grocery budget and the cost of heating oil and KNOWING we had to make some deep cuts, he crossed Coke off the shopping list. I went into convulsions, my head started to spin around and I started foaming at the mouth.

He quickly discovered the error of his ways and we've now cut out fresh fruits and veggies.

Just kidding...but I'd rather wear four extra layers and turn the temp down to 65 than have to give up my precioussssssss Coca Cola!

I remember the days when I had a body like your daughter's. *sigh* Whatever happened to me? rofl...just kidding, I never had a body like that! My daughter has inherited my tendency to be "fluffy," and so has my oldest son. Now my youngest, he is long and lean and with a little work, could easily have those desired 6 pack abs!

If you truly did have all three of your children with no painkillers, then I bow to you! I actually had both of my sons without meds as it was in vogue at that time, but I wanted something when I had my daughter (my first baby)! My labor wasn't as long as your's however.

Except for buying a truck, I have the same dream for if I was a millionaire!
