TOO SMART FOR MY OWN GOOD

We all get heavier as we get older because there is a lot more information in our heads. So I'm not fat, I'm just really intelligent. And my head couldn't hold any more so it started filling up the rest of me! C'mon people...work with me on this.

♥~GOBS OF GRATITUDE~♥

I've been seeing a lot of "grateful" posts on blogs these past few weeks....and decided that I should get in on it too. So now and again I'm gonna throw together a post about all the things I'm so very grateful for...

I'm grateful that he is not my neighbor....

I'm grateful that I don't live in Florida.........

I'm grateful that I am a lazy slacker and have no desire to go to the gym......


And that my husband doesn't either.........


Okay...maybe not that grateful......

I'm grateful I don't live near a park............

I'm grateful my hubby talked me out of installing a diving board for our pool......

I'm grateful I have a decent job..........

I'm grateful that basketball is my favorite sport.........

I'm grateful the gas prices have come down...........

I'm grateful that I own dogs.......

I'm grateful that we have enough food in the pantry........


I'm VERY grateful that I've found my soul mate, my one true love....so I don't have to kiss any more toads pigs...well you get the picture..........

And I'm incredibly grateful that all you wonderful people in blog land come here and keep me company.....and let me hang out at your place...even when I forget to take off my shoes...and overstay my welcome.♥♥♥

YA MAKE YOUR MOMMA PROUD!

Today my oldest child turns 28. And Jared....I just want you to know how very lucky I am to be your mom. I know growing up with me wasn't always easy. You had to be the man of the house for a lot of years. And I'm sorry for that....along with all the stupid parenting decisions I made along the way. It is a miracle that you don't need extensive therapy!



You were smart and quick as a child....you learned to walk at 8 months and never slowed down. ....

You were the best big brother that any sisters could hope for......I appreciate you helping me to look after them...and try to keep them out of trouble...whoa...it was a BIG job lol....I couldn't have done it without you.

I think if I had to sum you up as a person...I'd tell the story about the time when you were about 5 years old...I know you've heard this one a million times...indulge your old mom....where was I ....oh...there was a beautiful little girl named Jamie....who had a debilitating disease. She couldn't walk at all...so she couldn't play with the other kids in the neighborhood. She would sit out on her front lawn and just watch all the other kids run and laugh and have a great time....and all she could do was sit and watch. And you...with your heart of pure gold....would leave the fun and games....and you would sit beside Jamie...and keep her company.....so she wasn't alone. That's the kind of little boy you were....and the kind of man you have become.

I can count on one hand the number of times you have really made me angry or upset......but there aren't enough hands in the entire world for me to count the number of times you've made me proud!

You sacrificed two years of your life, left home and your comfort zone, spent money out of your own pocket....all to help others. And I know you made a difference in countless lives.

You chose your eternal partner well....and added a beautiful lady to our family. And you two are a constant joy in my life. You're hard working, dedicated, faithful and goofy as all get out. You make me laugh....and you make me thank God everyday that he choose you to be my only son.

I SMOOCHED A POSTMAN~~~

My new favorite person in the world today is my postman! When I saw him pull up in the driveway carrying some big old boxes, I just couldn't resist dashing across the yard. Then I grabbed his surprised face and gave him a big old smoooooch! Okay not really...but I was sorely tempted....because you should see what my favorite little government working nugget brought me!!!!!!

First up I ordered this adorable snowman from Heather's Etsy store. OH MY GOODNESS....just look at him. He is even cuter than he was when I saw him living in my computer! Heather I love him so much!! And thanks for getting him to me so quickly!

Then there was this box......OH GOODIE I know what this is! Awhile back I won a contest from Nana's Box. She is doing the most amazing things to help cancer patients. She creates these beautiful photo boxes that....well hey click on her name and go over and see for yourself...she explains it much better than me. This woman has a heart of gold and is doing such great work! So what was the prize you ask.....

Well I'll show you... This beautiful custom painted star was done by the FABULOUS and funny Linda from J'ollie Primitives. She donated a custom star to Nana's box because she is generous and wonderful like that. Thanks Linda it's PERFECT! And I have just the place to hang it when spring comes! Until then I've got another spot in my side entry that is crying out for something this big and beautiful! Thanks so much to both of you for this great prize!!!


And lastly....Lookie what we have here! Could it possibly be here this quickly???

Hollee Ann must be in hyperdrive because this got here soooo fast. I joined up with the beautiful Hollee Ann from over at Dandelion Wishes in her very fun Mamarazzi's swap. This was a "my favorite things" swap...which really appealed to me because we got to send stuff that we loved. Let's see what she sent.....First a very sweet card.


HOLY FREAKING BAT CRAP!!! Just feast your eyes on all this marvelous stuff! All wrapped up pretty and filled with candy and PINK A PLENTY!!!!!

Everything looks so pretty and it's tagged with an explanation as to what makes it her favorite. It was soooooo much fun opening all these little packages! And there were A TON of them!!!


Her favorite candy bar, tv watching snack...YUMMO, tv show, book, pamper item, nail polish, note card.... on and on.....OH MY THERE IS SO MUCH STUFF!!!

I hit the mother lode!!!!! Thanks Hollee Ann...what a delightful surprise. It was so much fun! And I really appreciate all your hard work putting this together!!!
