I WANT TO BE HOT!

While sitting here wrapped up in fur blankets, wearing thermal underwear, and trying to keep my feet warm....I started thinking about all the reasons why Winter isn't my favorite season.

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the fact that instead of looking into my backyard and seeing this.........

I get to feast my eyes on this...................

And when I arrive home at the end of a long day ....instead of coming here.........

I return to this...............

Summer days...floating in the pool...sipping an icy coke.....

slipping on ice and wondering where is my dang pool???

GORGEOUS GREEN..................

CRAPPY BROWN AND WHITE..............

HAPPY FISHIES.................

FROZEN SEA FOOD.............

In the spring I enjoy stepping out my front door...........

Now I just have to watch my step............

Beautiful colors of spring....OH how I miss thee..........

Winter..........you suck!

I really need to have a chat with the big guy upstairs. Maybe we can negotiate this whole winter thing.......Either that or I'm going to buy a Hummer and drive endlessly around in circles so I can speed up Global Warming..... Because I am more than ready for the return to this...........

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH..... SPRING....DON'T MAKE ME COME AND GET YOU!

However...I hear ya on the waiting for spring thing! It has been soooo cold that I've been considering asking the Man Upstairs if he could just do away with January and February!

Anyway, we finally caught a break from the cold, althought everything is still BROWN! Today was a balmy 72 degrees! Nyah, nyah, nyah! ;)

Yes, I'll agree... the green months of the year are easier on the eye than the brown and white of winter, but the humidity here just sucks the wind out of my sails, so I'll keep the brown and white as long as it will have me. (mostly brown since it's only snowed once here this winter)

Oh my gosh why have I never seen this water wheel house before?! I love it! Your yard is beyond phenomenal. I too want a return to spring. I saw a cartoon the other day where an old lady said she personally is responsible for global warming with her hot flashes.....okay she said it funnier but it got me wondering, do you think they're going to start putting a tax on menopausal women for causing global warming like they want to tax livestock (cows) bz they emit methane gas that copntributes to global warming? Hmmmmm, food for thought but I think they'd have millions of menopausal women pounding on the door of the white house if they did and trust me the senators, congressman and Obama don't want to deal with that!! LOL! Okay, it's late and I'm now officially off my rocker. Have a great night.

LOVE your house and yard - during any season! :) I would probably agree with you, except that we, as you know, have been bypassed when it comes to true winter weather this year... So instead of having the snow cover up the sleeping landscaping, the warmish weather and rain has only made it brown and mucky...yucky! I'd love to have one good snowstorm to blanket the area and give me some 'pretty' landscaping, but in lieu of that, I'll be happy with warmer/drier air and get the party started for the blooming of all my plants...forget this 'in-between' crap we've been having this year! ;)

I love the changes in the seasons and that's why I live in the north. I always look forward to the next season just as I reach my saturation point with the present season. I love the variety.

It keeps life interesting and I always appreciate spring after the cold winter. I think snow is beautiful and I love the bare branches against a blue or grey sky in the winter.

I absolutely hate to sweat and humidity is my least favorite season side effect. Don't give me the same weather all year long...change it up.

I feel your pain Nikki. Thank goodness we've finally had a few 'warmer' days. Wednesday was especially nice. Seeing the ice on the roofs and sidewalks melt really did my heart and longjohns good.

Did you know we will be Springing forward in less than a month? March 8th!! Yipee!!!
