My dogs do the same thing! However, despite the fact they are cuter than shredder, they are also much more expensive - veteranian bills, dog food, dog toys, dog treats ...
I'm sure if the bills came smelling like food our beagle would go wild eating them too ;)

OMG! I love it!
Was there a sample of some beef bones mixed in with the mail? I had a piece of candy in a bag that I had forgotten was there but Sophie found it without any trouble. Surprisingly, she was very discriminating about just taking the bag with the candy and only tearing a little hole in it to get to the chocolate. I'm sure glad it wasn't a bag full! She once found a box of movie style chocolates and I had to take her to the vet for that one.
My girls and I named our mini-vacuum or dustbuster thing in honor of our dogs. It is the "De-dogifier" to hide the evidence of their destruction before daddy gets home.... Ozzie and Crumpet would fit right in with the Boxers if you tire of their shenanigans. AND there would be more pups to blame!
Ah yes, I know that one well. The best one is when the dog really DOES eat the homework! lol!

They are so freakin cute. I really miss having a dog. That being said, I've been in your situation LOTS of times as at one point I had three dogs.
Well...I'll have to say Nikki, that's better than a certain cute lil' faced Boxer boy chewing up a leather couch and MY PLANTATION SHUTTERS...honestly...I mean, who woulda thought!!! Plantation shutters, come on dog, is is that serious? Ha, they just look so cute though....

Oh my gosh! My dog gets in the trash too, but his favorite is tissues and toilet paper. The cats don't help either! The dog will knock the trash can over and then they all go crazy. Free for all!

Such naughty-naughty dogs! ;0) I love how you put the dogs thoughts on the pics. That's really clever and cute! My dogs love to chew socks and underwear. I woke up to a dog, who was an early riser this morning, chewing on my daughter's underwear she left in the bathroom after she showered. Grrrr.

Oh that's too funny! Well, not for you... ;) When we were Resident Managers for Student Housing for a college, we had a mail slot in our door...we had to rig a basket to 'catch' any and all mail that got dropped through there, because our original Sheltie shredded a few rent checks...that was an interesting thing to explain to people and sucked having to ask them to write new checks...they thought we were trying to double charge them... :)
Well if shredded bills means you don't have to pay, send Crumpie and Ozzie over my way, LOL :)
Your photos are priceless - and what a fun way to put off "bill paying" for the month. Are you sure all of that damage was done by sweet little Ozgood? Or . . . was Crumpet somehow involved. Of course, Wheaten's don't do things like that as I am sure my Bentley would never engage in anything like eating bills - his taste runs more towards eating up my favorite decorating books.

My cats and dogs are partners in crime....the cats knock it off the desk and the dogs go to work "sorting" it. Let me know if you need a calico (Peggy Sue) and a yellow tabby (Buddy Holly) to help Crumpet and Ozzie out! I'd be happy to loan them out just long enough to get my house cleaned!
