~~~I'D MOVE IN~~~
On my way to my favorite Home Good's store (where I buy more "crap" for my house ...sorry I'm regressing to another post comment...dang that one has me all riled up) I pass through a town called Long Meadow. The homes here are in a ....shall we say....Higher tax bracket than I can afford. But I can't resist gawking at them when I drive by. The details on these old beauties just make me drool.
Ya gotta click on em to make em big so you can see all the yummy details.
Here's to hoping you all have a GLORIOUS Sunday!
LOL - yup - that's a whole nother tax bracket! We have some of those being bulit in our town. Not quite as ornate, but one is so big we call it the hotel!
Beautiful to look at but I wouldn't want to have to clean one of those. I guess if you can afford one, you can afford the housekeeper to go with it!
Thanks for the tip about clicking and enlarging...I enjoyed seeing "all of the details!"
Happy Sunday to you too!
Well, if that's crap you're buying does that make me crappy:) I love Home Goods and also love how you have your home decorated! Love the pictures of the homes you posted. I'd be the one driving by really slow at night, hoping their blinds were open so I could see inside too:)
What beautiful homes in your neck of the woods...I think my condo would fit into the garage!
Hope you weren't offended at my comment about me nervously sending you my address...I knew I had nothing to worry about all along :)
Have a great Sunday!
Take care,
~M
I love all of them...I hope the lives of the people living there are as happy as the outside would indicate. When I see big homes like those, I think I'd hate to pay their utility bills...LOL
Happy weekend... ;-) Bo
Hey, Nikki, how'd you get that picture of my house? just kidding. Absolutley stunning architecture! As another hard working single mom raising two boys and putting them through college with no help from anyone (okay, well God helps a lot).... I say go buy all the crap you want. You deserve it!!!!
Oh how I love going to Home Goods. It's one of my favorite stores. The houses are beautiful! I love looking at houses too. One day I will do a post on some of them in our area. I would just love to go through some of them.
Michele said...
Oh my...I love that blue one! I so want to see what they look like inside and how they're decorated!!
Hugz,
Michele
Oh, don't you wish you could tour the inside of these houses? I do Mishelle
I like the blue one. If you ever get a chance to visit a Street of Dreams, I think you'd love it.
It's a neighbourhood Open House of new homes built on a grand scale with the latest & greatest inside. Builders, decorators, and other trades compete for best of show, etc. There's a small fee to enter the neighbourhood and the homes are sold after the event. I posted some photos of a Street of Dreams I visited in Seattle WA, if you're curious. I think it was June or July, 2006.
Lots of great ideas (and a few that don't work so well....)
I love looking at homes! You just can't find or afford this kind of architecture and detail in a new built home! Thanks for the tour, I loved it.
Those are georgous old homes. I'm drooling, too! Sally
I agree with Bridget: I wouldn't want to clean it or do the yard work or even pay for the home repairs!
Oh, those poor folks that have to live in one of those little houses.....NOT!!!You know though as much as I love to look at places like that I agree with what my dear late Mother used to say "love grows best in tiny houses" and I have one!!! Have a great day my friend, Chrissy
I love Home Goods and I love lots and lots of crap in my house ;) Did someone pick on you? Because if someone picked on you, they better go through me, or your dogs, or both! ;)
Those homes are so lovely, wish I could have a butler to go with one of them!
Hi Nikki,
Those are gorgeous homes. I could live there and fill it up with lots of crap. Lord know my house has tons of it already.
I'm so sad that your Palin post got out of hand. My mother always told me to never discuss politics and religion with friends. We all are so different and have different views. It can be so hard though, especially during a Presidential campaign. :-)
Nikki, All I can say is wow! However, I love my mountain home and you could not give me one of those big homes with all those stairs. Smile. I do LOVE to look at them.
Hugs...Jeanne
Looking at those homes makes me think of Gomer Pile.... GGGGGooooooooLLLLLYYYY.....
I missed it did some one say something rude to you? I feel a rant coming on..... BLOGS are meant to support our fellow females... don't we get enough negative input from the outside .... this is a place for UP LIFTING each other.... Ok I feel better
Hi Nikki, Thanks for the great music on your site. I've been reading your comments on Michaels blog, that was such a nice gift that you sent to him. I really like the houses that you posted, but I would not want to live in one, too much work, and the cleaning wow, I'm getting too old for that.
Suzann said...
Those are some absolutely beautiful homes. The first white one is my favorite for sure, but I have a thing for white houses for some reason. Thanks for sharing.
Anonymous said...
Nikki, I looked at all of the houses and decided that I would take one of each! hehheheheh
All of those homes are BEAUTIFUL!! Go knock on each door and ask if you can get a few pics of the inside! Then, after you are released from the psych ward at your local hospital... you can share the pics that you got with your Dear Blog Buddies! :)
LOL,
xoxoxo
I live in "the oldest summer resort in america". That means that people buy up all the lake front property, build GInormous homes, live in the 2 months out of the year - and I drive by and drool...regularly :)
Thank you for stopping by my blog and sharing the SITS loves!!
