My Hunka Hunka burning love

I'm back....I so missed you all. Dang if blog withdrawal isn't a pain in the patoot! My family is back home safe and sound. We had such a great time, but it's gonna take a few days to gather up all the pictures and make a real post. I'm hoping my sister-in-law will email me her photos because she actually knows how to take a great picture. They wore me ragged....sheesh those women have some serious energy!!! It really bites when your 72 year old mom can run circles around you! I'd be totally embarrassed but I'm too tired to experience emotion at the moment. So until I can catch my breath and get some sleep....I'm gonna rip off Penny, Sally, and Raxx and who knows who else... and do their post about the men in our lives.

So heres a sneak peek at what makes my hubby tick. And lord help me if he ever sees this!

That not-so-happy face is because he was contemplating making me eat the camera when he saw I took his picture! And there is still some question as to which end of my body was going to do the ingesting.

1. He's sitting in front of the TV; what is on the screen?
A Dodger game, a Utah Jazz Game, a Rams game (how embarrassing is that this year..the Rams suck big time...I have to close the drapes so the neighbors won't see!) or the science channel.

2. You're out to eat; what kind of dressing does he get on his salad?
Low fat vinagrette or Italian (he's not a chick I promise!)

3. What's one food he doesn't like?
No red meat. (I'm telling you he AIN'T A CHICK!)

4. You go out to the bar. What does he order?

5. Where did he go to high school?
New Jersey

6. What size shoe does he wear?
10 1/2 (and he doesn't wear heels)

7. If he was to collect anything, what would it be?
(I'd so love to say dolls just for haha's but if he ever reads this I'm a dead woman) Trains...he has a miniature train set that he's been building for decades.

8. What is his favorite type of sandwich?
He doesn't eat bread....or for that matter he won't eat anything he has to touch with his hands (I'm not making this stuff up)

9. What would this person eat every day if he could?
Pasta or brown rice with all sorts of sick stuff on it. He'll put beans, barbeque sauce, and salad dressing on rice and then mix in some brussel sprouts...ewwwww.

11. what would he never wear?
sweaters or a vest.

12. What is his favorite sports team?
The LA Dodgers ....he's watching them right now...which gives me a chance to type this without him getting a peek.

13. Who will he vote for?
McCain , but not without wishing for a choice #3

14. Who is his best friend?
I can seriously say it is me....really...and I'm not even being my usual delusional self.

15. What is something you do that he wishes you wouldn't do?
Stay up so late blogging. I think he secretly wishes the internet would implode.

16. How many states has he lived in?
there are alot. Paris and London (I know they aren't states) Hawaii, New Jersey, Connecticut and Massachusetts....there might even be more but I can't ask him because he would totally freak if he knew I was doing this post.

17. What is his heritage?
His mom is German and his father is Norwegian or Dutch....I think....who cares...he's a hottie where ever he came from!!!

18. You bake him a cake for his birthday; what kind of cake?
If I baked him a cake he'd pass out from the shock that I turned on the oven!!! But the only kind of cake he'd ever eat is cheese cake.

19. Did he play sports in high school?
Baseball and he looked awfully darn cute in the uniform!

20. What could he spend hours doing?
Going through his favorite sites on the internet...mostly sports and news......talking politics.... and working...he is the hardest working man I've ever met.

You're the best my funnyhoneylovebunny....I adore you!!!

I'd like to give a special thanks to my dear friend BJ over at "sweet nothings" for this really freaking cool award.

Ain't it a beauty. It's called....

The rules of this award are:

1. You can give it to one or one hundred or any numer in between - it's up to you. Make sure you link to their site in your post
2. Link back to this blogsite (http://www.tammyvitale.com//) so Tammy can go visit all these wonderful women and remember the Purpose of the Award: To send love and acknowledgment to women who brighten your day, teach you new things and live their lives fully with generosity and joy.

I'd like to pass this on to an amazing lady...she is the daughter of my best friend in the whole wide world. And she just happens to be a very smart, funny, classy lady just like her mom. She makes me laugh, she is a inspirational mom, and I would be proud to have had her for one of my own daughters. Her name is Randi and you can visit her at "just keep swimming" It's an adorable blog and you'll enjoy the visit!

OMG, yours is definitely the best "get to know my hubby" yet! He won't eat anything he has to TOUCH? Okay, I think we need to hear a little bit more about this. He doesn't eat bread. That's kinda weird. No red meat at all? The man won't eat a steak? Oy! And he likes brown rice and brussels sprouts. Blechhhhhh! Although brown rice is in my very near future. *gulp*

WOOO HOOO...SO glad you had such a good time with your family. Yep, us OVER 70 girls can sometimes make you youngsters gasp for breath and look for a bench to sit down and rest! Maybe it's cause we're old and know we AIN'T GOT ALL THAT MUCH TIME LEFT TO MESS AROUND!! lol
Loved reading all about Steve...awh, and he doesn't even sound like a sissy man!! Just 'cause he likes girly dressing on his salad, won't touch his food with his hands, collects dolls....oops, no...that was trains! All kidding aside, he must be pretty awesome for YOU to love him so much !!
love, bj

How in the world can someone make me laugh so much just telling me about their husband?!! I loved it. He does sound like a great guy. You know though it's people like him that put my husband out of business!! All of the food my husband sells has to be touched, at least I've never seen anyone eat a Twinkie with a fork and he also sells bread so your husband won't eat that, LOL!! We don't eat alot of red meat either. When we were broke when the kids were little that was the easiest thing to cut back on with the grocery bill. Now we just forget to put it back in our "meatless" casseroles, etc.! I do make a mean pot roast though! I hope you get to take a day or two off to recuperate from your vacation!!

I am still laughing! You are Funny, Funny, Funny! And it is Your hubby which sounds alot like mine in so many ways. NO he is NOT girly either. Just very picky.
My mom is 82 and not one of her five daughters can keep up with her either...but she is the one who irons her sheets every week:)
I am glad you had a great visit and now you can can relax a bit.
Thanks for your visit!

Hey Nikki, Glad your back - very informative! He sounds a lot like my Ex-husband....wouldn't eat red meat, bread, just brown rice and whole wheat this and that, and poultry. Except one big difference, he was a jerk! ~ Robyn

Nikki, I hope your dh does see his meme. I am sure he will laugh with the rest of us. Love your sense of humor. I am with you about the late night blogging. It keeps me awake past my bedtime, whatever that is. I have forgotten. The bad part is I wake up at the same time no matter what. Then I am tired all day. LOL Is this a rut?

Hugs, Jeanne

Too funny. Interesting diet your hubby has. Mine could eat rice every day of the week - but he would never put any of those things with it!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Big Bertha is something, isn't she. The book never once says sewing machine - it says sewing computer. I am totally intimidated by her.

Glad you enjoyed your respite from blogging! I'm one of those little old ladies --- I'm off today to help my daughter pack to move as she can't seem to get organized enough to do it. I know I'll run circles around her!!!! Enjoyed the tag about your husband. Can he keep up with you? Sally

I'm trying not to laugh because my stomach is sore...don't ask...

the first time future-DH & I went to a restaurant and ordered, um, adult beverages, I ordered a beer and DH ordered a white zinfindel, I laughed and laughed because we had role-reversal drink issues...and a different server brought the drinks, I got, right, the wine and DH got the beer...we switched and the server did a double-take...I tell myself I did try not to laugh again...

I'm really surprised our dating moved beyond that evening...but it did...and it has been bliss for 18 1/2...right, hubby?

Bribe check? ;) lol when I read that I could only imagine it as one of your dogs saying it..love your doggie posts :)

OMGosh, your hubby's eating habits would drive me batty! haha That's so funny! My dh and ds both wear a 10 1/2, too, but I have a feeling my son is going to have even bigger feet, he's not done growing, but it's nice having them in the same size now...only because I can remember them easier now:)

Glad you're back :)
