~♥~ I WISH WEDNESDAY ~♥~

I wish..............that it was actually still Wednesday so that this post made sense.

I wish......I had one of these T-shirts to give to my husband...and that he'd wear it to Home Depot on our next shopping trip. ( I stole borrowed this from Julian Meteor's blog...I'd link to you Julian but the language over there is a bit on the naughty side)



I wish...........that I had found Nana's kitchen a long time ago. Nana's blog cracks me up. She would be so much fun to hang out with....especially at water aerobics!!


I wish.....................It was legal to make a Citizen's Arrest for FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!!!

I wish...................I didn't find this funny.......but I DO!

I wish..........there were more cool guys who blogged. It's interesting seeing the world through the eyes of male bloggers. I love the laughs I get from Michael over at Captain Obvious And I love that he titled this post "lamp porn"

I enjoy visiting Artie at Color Outside the Lines he posts inspirational pictures and has such great taste. I always get new ideas when I read his posts.


And then there is OG over at Trog Blog. Who is always good for a laugh...especially when he posts pictures like this one. C'mon Cheerios...does that really look like a golfing trophy???

I wish...........making dinner was this easy!



I wish.............that some day in the future I can be a grandma....and that my grand kids are as cute as this little nugget! Meet Cooper who belongs to Diane over at A picture is worth a 1000 words I've been enjoying Diane's blog for quite some time. And I love all of her posts...but I'm developing serious case of "grand kid envy".

I wish................I had my own DOGBOAT ! I wonder if the Grey Hound version goes fast enough to water ski?



I wish...................I could send my hubby into this "facility" and then see which picture he picks. (don't judge me)





I wish.................I could choose which people get to BE lunch!

** WHO THOUGHT I'D EVER SEE 100**

Back about 5 months ago......I jumped into the blog pool. And now I've hit my first milestone...100 posts. I decided to buy myself a little celebration present. So I connected up with Rae Ann over at The Button Box. She created this lovely little nugget and I must say...I seriously ♥ it! She did such a great job and I highly recommend her if you're looking for your own blog button!

And thanks to Lynette for suggesting I get one! For anyone who wants to add it to their blog...I'd be honored.

When I started this blog....I can honestly say it wasn't anything like I imagined. I had no idea I was going to meet some of the most generous, talented, and classy people on the planet. I had no idea I'd have to learn a new language...I don't speak fluent BLOG yet..but I'm learning. Like tonight when Justine was sweet enough to give me some pointers...and she only called me a doofus once!



I didn't expect to laugh as much as I have, to cry when you hurt, to feel joy when life was good to you., and to fall in love with you and your families. You've become my new passion and addiction. And the fact that you show up here....read the drivel that I post...and make me feel loved and special........well there just aren't words to describe how much that means.

So to say THANKS for sticking with me through 100 posts........

There has to be a giveaway!! I had a great time shopping at Home goods today...just looking for something fun as a prize. And well I got a little carried away so it looks like there is going to have to be Two winners......

I love anything that has sparkle and this little pedestal fit the bill....and then I found this cute little bird box and had to bring him home with me too....so these are Prize #1

And I couldn't forget all you Rooster lovers out there.....so when I spied this adorable plate...it was in the basket in a flash. And the lamp....oh the lamp is soooo hard to part with. I was so tempted to keep it for myself. But you all deserve it... so this combo is Prize #2

THE NIKKICRUMPET LIBRARY

I've been a really bad blogger the last couple days....so I'm gonna do a real stupid simple post...so that I have time to come and visit everyone! My next post is going to be number 100!!! So I think there must be a giveaway coming......

I'm a book freak. For some women it's shoes, jewelry, or handbags.....for me...the smell of a book gets my blood pumping. I just used my Barnes & Noble gift cards from Christmas and look what that UPS man brought me. JOY IN A BOX!

16 new books....just ready to be added to my book drawer.

And here it is....the place where my little friends wait their turn. The problem is this drawer isn't big enough for all my new little friends. It seems to be already full. Which brings us to the problem at hand. I Nikkicrumpet...have a serious addiction to books.

And even after reading them... I have to keep them around ....in case......well....just in case. It's getting harder and harder to find a respectable place to put them. First I started out adding them here and there to my "book shelves" not too many because you have to keep it looking pretty....



Sadly...after awhile pretty isn't really important...just stack em up!


Then I add them "under things"

And beside things.....

And piled on any flat surface...........
There are baskets full of them..........






And I've resorted to hiding them inside cabinets.......


If it has doors.....it's fair game.





Lately I've noticed that the accessories that tend to catch my eye are things that open up and have "space" inside. This is my newest hiding place....

Just look at all that ROOM.

Only bad thing is that it seems some of them are starting to creep outside...I hope they aren't hitching a ride to find a new home.

So please tell me there are book addicts out there just like me...someone who can't bear to part with a book after you've read it....a hoarder....a book glutton....I can't be the only one.

NATIONAL DRESS UP YOUR PET DAY*^^*

YAY it's National...........

As members of the canine species we're fed up!! NOT with dog biscuits those we like......we're fed up with this nonsense about dressing us up in stupid outfits. It started simple...a T-shirt now and then.....





Then she started adding stuff....like coats and noisy collars.


And then........to our horror.....she started to accessorize!


We knew at this point that costumes were inevitable.......














We tried to reason with her..........




We tried threats...............

But to no avail....she just couldn't be stopped!



When she started cross dressing us in chick clothes....we knew we were doomed to a life of humiliation.....





And she even went as far as experimenting with new looks....








But there is always that one defining moment in a dogs life when he decides enough is enough............

And she pushed us to that point when she dressed us up as.............

HILTONS!


SO ON THIS DAY OF NATIONAL CELEBRATION........WHERE HUMANS THINK IT'S OKAY TO DEGRADE AND EMBARRASS THEIR PETS......

IT'S TIME FOR ALL PETS TO UNITE!!!
